Freedom Canada History
Freedom Mobile was first established in 2008 and was previously known as Wind Mobile. From December 16, 2009 the operator started offering wireless data and phone call services in several parts of the country. On November 21, 2016 the Shaw Foundation renamed Wind Mobile to Freedom Mobile, and its new LTE network service was launched. On October 9, 2018 the network signal was further bettered so it could reach confined spaces like basements and elevators.
