Worst operator my parents ever had

The internet is still problematic, always down or extremely slow. The customer service is horrible, you call their number and I have to go through a thousand choices for the voice to finally tell me to restart the router and hang up, we are in no way able to speak to a fucking representative. Honestly derytelecome was really better. Can't wait to convince my parents to change provider since they are also fed up. If you have any suggestions for a good provider please leave a response to my comment, have a good evening. Ps: I do not recommend it at all

I’d rate half a star/negative 5 stars, if I could!

If I could rate half a star/negative stars, I would. I’m a Quebec customer who was forced to switch to Cogeco Internet after DeryTelecom became a sellout and sold its services and “valued customers” to Cogeco. Ever since the switch, I’ve had nothing but problems with the Internet 30/10 package. The internet goes out at least 10 times per day. I work from home so this service is completely unacceptable. I’ve lost so many hours of work, hundreds of dollars, thanks to their horrible service. But I can’t simply refuse to pay or they suspend my service. So being forced to pay for a service that rarely works properly seemed inevitable.

First of all, I’ve asked if it’s due to still having Dery equipment (modem and router) They said they’d send a tech over, never happened.

Let’s not get into the billing department either, I was bombarded with calls from Cogeco regarding my monthly bill, BEFORE my invoice was even due. Regardless if I owed $5 or $80. I sometimes forget to review my bill but I pay my bills EVERY MONTH. I might be $1 or $2 off but it’s paid EVERY month. And yet I’m treated like a person who NEVER pays their bill. It’s extremely disheartening.

Finally, I’ve worked in customer service for over 10 years and their representatives are extremely unprofessional. We would never be directed to speak to our clients in such a disrespectful manner.

I also requested to cancel and I was told that I can’t cancel on chat and have to call a specific #. However, that department is closed on the weekend, but their employees have no problems suspending my service on a weekend for a bill that’s not even due yet. Figure that one out.

Best believe, I’ll be switching to VMedia first thing Monday Morning. I’ve used VMedia internet before in Ottawa and I’m thankful it’s available in the area I live in Quebec as well. I’ll take 400 mbs over barely 30 mbs. For a fraction of the price and none of this headache.

Be prepared for a small claims lawsuit. I have no internet service due to bad information given by your employees during a double move. You cut off the internet at my house remotely after my girlfriend moved and you said that you could reactivate it remotely immediately by moving my account since it's Fiber with the FIBER modem screwed to the wall... and to call back when my girlfriend's move is done. Except when I called back, you ABSOLUTELY want to send a technician to activate what you have disabled remotely.... MY FATHER'S EMERGENCY MEDICAL BRACELET CAN NO LONGER COMMUNICATE AND I NO LONGER HAVE ACCESS TO THE CAMERA FOR THE MONITORED. You are therefore putting the life of my father, with reduced mobility after a stroke, in DANGER. Be prepared to hear about it in the Media, at the CTRC and in small claims.

Very disappointed customer

I have been dealing with this Internet service for a very long time last year. I lost my job because of your Internet service that was always constantly on and off on and off on and off so I went to Bell then I got a call from cogeco s loyalty dept with an offer which I couldn’t resist even they didn’t get that right now I’m dealing with the same thing. I am in the middle of work and my Internet goes out for no reason just goes out so I did what they always say to do reset the modem I did that but as you can see, my complaint is not me having to reset the modem it’s my work being interrupted and losing connection with client in the middle of work. This is why I got fired last year for my job because I could never stay connected nobody listens to me I call and they blow it off like it’s nothing but this is my bread and butter!!! Worst company ever once my service agreement is up. I am definitely going with somebody else. The customer service representatives are as ignorant AF I’m calling right now because it should be 24 hours technical support but it’s not so it was 440am was my first outage then it comes back on then I got 447am It cuts off again, I am still off-line Getting very frustrated, I guess I’ll book the rest of the day off I would never recommend this company stay away. They don’t offer the services that you are paying top dollar for her!!! Ugh so annoying
